So this is what Utah is looking like the closer we end the fall season and start Winter. Cold!!! Do I really want to live here in the snow?? I wonder sometimes. I will have to so more research on great places to live in the U.S. that don't include snow. Arizona maybe??

So I wanted to write that profile post about me. Just a little about myself, I am from San Diego County, California. But i have lived in Provo for the past two years and now am really starting to feel like I am from here. Anyways, I love reading, singing, teaching, hiking, and just being around friends. One of my favorite books from this last year was The Goose Girl (I am into the whole young reader, princess books). I am the middle of five children and am the proud aunt of 5 nieces with two on the way :) .
Growing up I have always liked children. And I find more and more that hasn't changed. At family gatherings or just about anywhere I am around children. So deciding to become a teacher felt right once I made that decision. I am a substitute teacher for Nebo School District and having been doing that for a year now. Having that experience has really giving me a start on which grade I would love to teach and how I can improve communication now with my students I teach on a daily basis. I have done a long term sub job last year for second grade and it was a great preview of what is to come.
I think I will make a great teacher by applying all of the application and using the tools that the Elementary Education program has for me. I am excited to be in the program and learn the things I need to better the lives of my students.

Busy Schedule

So yesterday I was in tears because I was so overwhelmed. Fridays are nothing different from the rest of my week, no time to do errands. I worked in the morning at Canyon Elementary and then after having an hour to get something important done I went to Gold's Gym to work in the day care. But after feeling so overwhelmed in the car on the way to work and then getting there, the 3 hours at Gold's wasn't all that bad. I guess I built it up enough to where I was dreading nothing, or was I. After work I decided to enjoy the night at Rock Canyon park and it was well appreciated after my busy day. Being busy isn't all that we make it out to be sometimes, it does keep us out of trouble (or having free-time).
